WEEKLY FORECAST
8.13.2019 – 8.19.2019
A CENTRAL FLORIDA FISHING FORECAST EVERY TUESDAY
Are we finally getting a significant break from the rampant seaweed in the surf? Spacefish is comfortable offering the firm proclamation of MAYBE…
…Out of the Weeds?
There’s some good fishing to get into this week, be it offshore, nearshore, on the beach, or in the lagoon. The reefs such as 8A and Pelican are producing a great kingfish bite with sporadically consistent mahi and sailfish in the mix. Nearshore, the summer action is still going hot with tarpon and snook. Meanwhile, there’s an early pompano run in the lagoons; and there may be reason for surf anglers to rejoice — it looks like we’re FINALLY experiencing a break in what has seemed like an endless bombardment of weeds on the beach…
Let’s Crush Cancer
On another note, our hearts hang heavy for the Broad Family. Anthony Broad, the owner and proprietor of Fisk Skinz Apparel, is a valued Spacefish partner and has long been an integral member of the local outdoor community. Anthony’s wife, Brandi, like all too many other great women, was recently diagnosed with breast cancer. As such, they have officially begun the long battle of treatment to beat this disease. We would like the Broads to know that they have all our love and support through this trying time. If you’d like to show your support for them, or just the fight against cancer in general, check out their new line of Warrior Series apparel at Fishskinz.com. These are some really cool designs available on performance shirts and hats, with a portion of the proceeds from every sale going towards cancer research.
Whatcha Know About Walters?
A HUGE shoutout to our BOY, Brevard’s own, Kyle Walters, representing it big time on the FLW Tour. Kyle punched in a strong second place finish $$$ among the best in the world at Lake Hamilton this weekend. Way to get it done, congrats, Kyle!

WEATHER OVERVIEW: It’s been wet out there, alright; but, that much can be expected with +18″ of rain over the past two weeks. One can also expect the consistent, everyday thunderstorms to continue like clockwork this week. The best chance to dodge these storms generally remains the same: avoid the afternoons, fishing either before (morning) or after (dusk). Otherwise, high temps will continue in the upper 80, with fairly low winds throughout the week.
