    Bass Bite Remains Excellent

    April 12, 2021

This week, Stick Marsh, Kenansville and Headwaters were all productive using Chug Bugs in Black color as well as the Bass Assassin Fat Job rigged wacky style in the Junebug and Junebug Blue tail. You can pickup these baits at Fellsmere Outdoor Adventures along with lake maps of each body of water. I was using a Heavy action Halo XD III Pro rod with 50lb braid.

Another Great Week on Headwaters Lake

      March 29, 2021

This was another great week on Headwaters Lake. Most of my fish came out of 6ft to 10ft of water. The big fish of this week was a 10.5 pound and 27.5 inch fish caught in 8ft of water on a Bass Assassin RSB Redbug Worm. The rod of choice was a Halo 7’6” Heavy action with Vicious 50lb no fade braid. The bass are also hitting topwater poppin frogs and the Launch Frog by Scum Frog in the darker colors fished next to the Lilly pads or reeds that are in a 4’ to 6’ of water. This coming week will be much of the same, so if you like topwater action give me a call at 772-494-7400 to book your trip.

Good Numbers & Big Fish @ Stick Marsh, Headwaters

        March 21, 2021

Well this week was another one of good numbers and big fish at Stick Marsh. The big fish this week were caught on Bass Assassin RSB worms in Junebug/Blue tail and Redbug. We had over 70 fish on two occasions and most were caught on topwater baits. The Whopper Plopper bite slowed down and we were catching most of our fish on black Scum Frogs over eel grass. The rod of choice was a Halo KS II Elite 7’5″ Med/Heavy on Vicious 50lb braid.

          Trophy Bass & Good Numbers

          March 15, 2021

This was a really good week to be on the water if you were looking for good numbers and trophy bass. Stick Marsh continues to produce multiple bass 7-9lbs that were caught on Black Whopper Ploppers and Bass Assassin RSB worms rigged with a 5/0 EWG hook weightless. To see how I rigged them, check out our Hooked on Headwaters YouTube channel for this week’s rig of the week.
