Fishing has been pretty good here lately. Around the canals, rivers and bridges they’re catching nice black drum, redfish and of course the mangrove snapper bite is off the hook!
On the beach, surf anglers are catching snook, tarpon, whiting — and some pompano have shown up, too. We also had some lane snapper and mutton snapper caught off the beach, as well.
Meanwhile, offshore, we’ve had a few dolphin and kingfish being caught. For the bottom fishermen, mutton snapper have moved in but there are a lot of shorts, also there are quite a few cobia being caught.
