spanish mackerel

It’s been another windy week on the Space Coast, but the fishing has still been pretty good. There are plenty of places to hide out of the wind and catch some fish. The trout bite is very good now on topwater, subsurface and jerk baits and there has been good numbers of mackerel on the spoil islands eating glass minnows. The Inlet had been decent for redfish earlier in the week, but more recently we’ve seen this bite supplanted by snook.

Fish the bait pods in the lagoon and you should be able to find plenty of fish this week. If the winds lay down, hit the beach and look for the tarpon, sharks jacks and Kingfish.
