With the colder weather last week the water in the Mosquito Lagoon is gin clear and the schools of redfish have started to scatter and break up a bit. We have been catching them on jerk baits or jig heads using a paddletail for artificial. Live bait like shrimp and small finger mullet have been working well also. With the strong winds forecasted for this week finger mullet will probably be the best bait to use. Focus on 1-2 ft. of water with grass and sand bottom.
