It’s been another windy week on the water, but that didn’t stop the fish from biting! We fished the shorelines in Sebastian focusing on the mangroves and spoil islands that had bait. Plenty of jacks and Ladyfish, as well as snook, reds and trout were all active. We had a couple boat slams during the week, too, with good numbers of fish on each trip.

Our daily approach starts with fishing top water early and then to casting soft plastics through the bait pods as the day goes on. There were schools of mullet and a lot of glass minnow schools to fish. Four inch storm jerk baits and three inch paddle tails were the ticket. The snook and reds were just under slot-size, tending towards the low end of the slot. All the trout were 17-24” and FAT!
