I hope everyone had a great Labor Day weekend taking in some much needed relaxation. They say Labor Day is the end of summer, but here in Florida it doesn’t cool down until about January ????. The bite continues to be good throughout the Mosquito Lagoon with several species coming boat side. The weather looks to be stable the rest of the week with possibilities of stormy weather coming from the Gulf by the weekend. I have noticed a good number of bait pods showing up both inshore and along the beaches.
Focus on the pods of bait throwing both artificials and live bait. The jacks, tarpon and bonita have been lined up and down the beach focusing on the bait. The snook bite has been hit or miss, one day they are chewing and the next they turn their head up to everything.
